When the end of September roles around, be sure to look forward to all the Homecoming extravaganza! It’s a week filled with big star comedians, a Varsity Athletic tailgate, a parade featuring Emory’s diverse organizations and Greek life, and finally, the big Homecoming Ball to bring it to a close.
Fall and Spring Band Parties are when SPC hold’s Emory’s biggest concerts of the year, bringing in big name artists to come rock out at the university. Spring Band Parties are sometimes in conjunction with the ever-so-famous Dooley’s week.
Dooley’s Week, the biggest tradition at Emory, is the one time of year where Dooley excuses students from class. Throughout the week, students find themselves submerged in activities with Wonderful Wednesday, Screen on the Green, a live performance from a well known comedian, an exciting concert, and of course, Dooley’s Ball where everyone dresses up in costumes!
Pink Tie Affair
Pink Tie Affair, an elegant event, is held in conjunction with Think Pink Week, raising awareness for breast cancer. Pink Tie Affair provides great beats and tasty treats to the Emory community. During this occasion, pink ties and scarves are sold to benefit research funding at the local Winship Cancer Center.
